Inoculant By Crop - TagTeam - ChickpeaTagTeam is the world’s first MultiAction inoculant. It is composed of two micro-organisms - a naturally occurring soil fungus Penicillium bilaii for better use of soil and fertilizer phosphate and a superior Rhizobium bacteria strain for nitrogen fixation. Balanced nutrition of phosphate and nitrogen is necessary to maximize pulse crop yields. The synergy of the two micro-organisms working together results in the highest net returns of any inoculant. The MultiAction synergy also delivers better results than using a single-action Rhizobium inoculant plus phosphate fertilizer and is a lot more convenient to use. MultiAction TagTeam combines a high performing strain of Mesorhizobium ciceri (rhizobia specific for chickpea) with the phosphate solubilizing organism found in JumpStart for 1 + 1 = 3 performance. Results from split-field farmer done trials showed an average 9% increase in yield using TagTeam chickpea over the competitor’s inoculant.

TagTeam ApplicationTagTeam Chickpea is available as a pre-sterilized, self-sticking peat and new to 2007, a granular fomulation. TagTeam Chickpea PeatEach 2.2 kg (4.8 lb) bag of TagTeam chickpea peat will treat 50 bushels (3,000 lbs of seed). Application with water is recommended at a rate of 4.0 litres (4.2 US quarts) per bag of TagTeam. Apply TagTeam as a slurry (mixed into water), apply water at the same time as you sprinkle on TagTeam dry or pre-moisten seed prior to application. TagTeam Chickpea GranularTagTeam granular should be applied diretly with the seed in the seed row using a granular tank for application. Application rates vary according to row spacing (refer to table below for details).
