Inoculants by Crop - Next Generation N-Prove
The patent pending strain of rhizobia launched last year in TagTeam is now available in a single-action inoculant - N-Prove.
N-Prove is a superior, single-action inoculant that contains one active ingredient, a naturally occurring bacterium that fixes nitrogen into a form plants can use. It forms a single symbiotic relationship with the inoculated pulse crop.
Next Generation N-Prove peat out-performed the previous formulation by 4% in small plot research trials.

Summary of 2007 small-plot research trials combined data from 8 sites in Saskatchewan for pea and lentil.
N-Prove is available in three formulations for simple, convenient inoculation, which fits almost any seeding management system.
- Pre-sterilized, self-sticking peat formulation is packaged in 7 x 4.8 lb bags for pea and lentil.
- Pea and lentil liquid formulation packaged in 101.4 oz boxes.
- Granular formulation packaged in 47.5 lb bags for use on pea, lentil and faba bean. Gypsum is the base carrier for N-Prove granular.
N-Prove Peat Application
- N-Prove for pea and lentil is available as a pre-sterilized, self-sticking peat.
- Application with water is recommended (see rates below).
- Apply N-Prove as a slurry (mixed into water), apply water at the same time as you sprinkle on N-Prove dry or pre-moisten seed prior to application.

In Furrow Application: N-Prove pea/lentil liquid can also be applied in-furrow. For in-furrow application N-Prove liquid must be applied within the seed row. Calibrate the flow rate to deliver the correct amount depending on row width (see table below). N-Prove should be applied at a rate of 1 fl oz per 1000 ft of row. N-Prove can be diluted with water to assist in application. Diluted N-Prove may be applied at 1 gallon to 8 gallons per 2.47 acres. Use diluted N-Prove within 24 hours.
