Where to Use TagTeam

  • Seeding into cold soils:
The soil fungus in TagTeam is active in soil temperatures as low as 4°C making soil phosphate plant-available and getting the crop out of the ground and off to an early start.
  • Medium to high phosphate levels and no plans to add phosphate:
Some farmers may not be planning to use phosphate fertilizer on their pulse crops this year, despite soil test recommendations. Use TagTeam and get the benefits of good phosphate nutrition.
  • Concerned about seed-placed fertilizer levels:
Pulse crops are sensitive to seed-placed phosphate fertilizer. Using TagTeam is an easy way to safely deliver starter phosphate to your pulse/legume crop.
  • Applying phosphate fertilizer but NOT next to the seed:
If phosphate fertilizer is fall banded or placed more than 1.5 inches from the seed, it is too far away to meet the crop's early season needs. TagTeam makes the soil phosphate around the seed plant-available to give the crop a quick start and help develop a root system to take advantage of the phosphate fertilizer.
  • High calcium (Ca) and high pH soils:
These types of soils readily tie-up phosphates. the soil fungus in TagTeam breaks the bonds by lowering the pH level within the soil zone making phosphate more available.
  • Airseeder with 2 tanks:
TagTeam peat offers the seeding capacity and convenience of a 3 tank system. Inoculate the seed with TagTeam peat, fill both tanks with the inoculated seed and plant more acres every day.
  • Airseeder with 3rd tank:
Fill the 3rd tank with TagTeam granular and get more acres planted everyday.
  • Growing a pulse/legume crop:
All pea, lentil, chickpea, dry bean, soybean, alfalfa and sweetclover crops deserve TagTeam to get the crop out the ground quick and start the nitrogen fixation process.
