Break Through Yield Performance
Philom Bios is pleased to introduce Next Generation TagTeam® for pea and lentil in peat and granular formulations. Next Generation TagTeam sets a new standard in yield performance and value to growers. These new inoculants represent the culmination of six (6) years of research on strain selection – and leading formulation technology represents Philom Bios’ on-going commitment to bring to the market new inoculants that continue to set the standard for value and performance. Philom Bios pea and lentil inoculants have always contained a superior performing rhizobia strain. The patent pending strain in Next Generation TagTeam takes yield performance to the next level as proven by two years of small plot research data (see graphs). The combination of the new patent pending strain, improved formulation and the synergy with the phosphate solubilizing micro-organism resulted in a net return to farmers of $11.24/acre over single-action (rhizobia only) competitor inoculants.
Next Generation TagTeam® Performance/Value Advantage
Results from small plot replicated trials conducted in 2005 and 2006 combining pea and lentil and
peat and granular formulations. $11.24 more net return per acre has been calculated by applying
the percent responses observed in the small plot trials to the 5 year average yields reported by SK
Agriculture and Food Crop Planning Guide 2006, Speciality Crops. The dollar return factors in the
additional cost of TagTeam over single-action competitors based on suggested retail prices. The
commodity prices used to calculate the dollar return is 5 year average price. Control = uninoculated.
Field Pea – Performance and Value Next Generation TagTeam shows outstanding performance on peas in either a peat or granular formulation. On average, Next Generation TagTeam out-yielded competitor single-action pea inoculants by 4.5 bu/ac or $14 more profit per acre. Select the formulation that best meets your planting practices.

Graph based on percent responses observed in small plot research trials in 2005 and 2006. The
percent responses were applied to the 5 year average yields reported by SK Agriculture and Food
Crop Planning Guide 2006, Speciality Crops. The normalized yields and resulting yield differences
were used to calculate the net dollar return more per acre. The net return is based on the normalized
yield difference in terms of bu/ac between Next Generation TagTeam and single-action competitors
taking into account differences in suggested retail prices. The commodity prices used to calculate
the dollar return is 5 year average price. Control = uninoculated.
Lentil – Performance and Value
The results on lentils proves that Next Generation TagTeam is the performance and value leader on both crops. On average, Next Generation TagTeam out-yielded competitor single-action inoculants by almost 1 bu/ac or $4 more profit per acre. If you are still deciding on your pea/lentil acreage split, you can be confident that Next Generation TagTeam will maximize your potential yields. Select the formulation that best meets your planting practices.
