Making a peat slurry

Dry application of peat powder

Slurry application is the recommended method for best application results for a Philom Bios peat powder inoculant.

If a dry application of the peat is desired, moistening the seed is recommended.

As shown in the photo, a garden hose is used to add water and moisten the seed as the dry peat is being applied.

Check for good coverage by comparing treated and untreated samples. The colour of the treated seed can be quite subtle and may not be immediately noticeable if not compared to an untreated sample.
